Airror reports that US President Donald Trump, who is visiting Ahmedabad on February 24, will not inaugurate the Ahmedabad Motorola.
The "Namaste Trump" event will be organized at the Motorra Stadium in the US like 'Howdy, Modi', but the stadium will not be inaugurated by US President Donald Trump.
Ahmedabad Mirror, quoting a senior official overseeing Donald Trump's visit from Delhi, writes:
"We have never announced that US President Donald Trump will inaugurate the stadium. This is only a guess and it is believed that he will inaugurate the Motor City Stadium. It has not been announced."
An official of the BCCI said that we were also aware that during the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's home state, Trump would inaugurate the stadium.
He added, "In fact, we are waiting for our invitation and we were also planning to call on the Indian cricket team and other celebrities for the grand opening of the stadium."
A senior government official said not a single cricketer was invited to the MOTORA program. This is not a cricket event.
Gujarat will cost 50 lakh every minute of Donald Trump's visit
US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the world's largest cricket stadium in Ahmedabad.
President Donald Trust is coming to India on August 24 for a two-day visit.
Trump is coming to India for the first time since becoming president.
He is also scheduled to visit Gandhi Ashram in Ahmedabad.
Gujarat government official told news agency Reuters that Trump will stay in Ahmedabad for three hours and spend Rs 85 crore. This amount is approximately one and a half percent of the annual budget of the Home Department of Gujarat.
An estimated 12,000 police officers will be deployed and only half of that will be spent.
Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner Vijay Nehra told Reuters that an estimated Rs 30 crore has been spent on widening roads and construction around the cricket stadium.
The stadium has a capacity of one hundred and ten thousand spectators. Nehra said decorating the area where Trump is about to leave will cost six crores.
